Face Cleanser:

🧴Dilute a small amount of castile soap with water and use it as a facial cleanser. Ensure that you choose a mild scent or go for unscented options for facial care.

Shaving Cream:

🧴Create a natural shaving cream. It provides a smooth surface for shaving and leaves your skin feeling clean.

Shampoo:

🧴Use castile soap as a natural shampoo. Mix it with water and apply to your hair, ensuring you rinse thoroughly.

Bubble Bath:

🛀🏾Add a few tablespoons of castile soap to your bathwater for a luxurious soak. I usually add a capful to my kids baths especially if they are extra dirty. Choose a scent that relaxes you or add essential oils or bath tea.

Hand Wash:

🧼Dilute castile soap with water to create a gentle hand wash. I like to save old containers to reuse them in this way.

Makeup Brush Cleaner:

🖌️Mix a small amount of castile soap with water to clean your makeup brushes. It effectively removes makeup residue and leaves your brushes clean and soft.

On The Go Baby Wipe Spray:

🚼Create a natural baby wipe spray with castile soap and put it in a spray bottle for on-the-go use. I like to keep one in my car just in case I don’t have any wipes, or I need to wash my hands or a dirty kid.

Jewelry Cleaner:

💍Mix a small amount of castile soap with water to create a gentle jewelry cleaner. Soak your jewelry for a short time and use a soft brush to remove dirt and residue.

Laundry Detergent:

👚 I have sensitive skin, so sometimes I make my own detergent. You might like to use castile soap as a base for making your own natural laundry detergent. Mix it with washing soda, borax, and water for an eco-friendly alternative to commercial laundry detergents.

Foot Soak Recipe

A foot soak with castile soap can be a refreshing and cleansing experience, leaving your feet feeling soft and rejuvenated. This foot soak combines the cleansing properties of castile soap with the soothing effects of Epsom salt and the moisturizing benefits of olive oil or coconut oil. It's a great way to pamper your feet and promote relaxation.

Castile Soap Foot Soak:

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup liquid castile soap (unscented or a mild scent)

  • 1/4 cup Epsom salt

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil

  • Warm water (enough to cover your feet in a basin)

  • essential oils (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Basin:

Fill a basin or foot spa with warm water. Ensure that the water is at a comfortable temperature for soaking your feet.

  2. Add Epsom Salt:

Measure out 1/4 cup of Epsom salt and add it to the warm water in the basin.

  3. Add Castile Soap:

Pour 1/4 cup of liquid castile soap into the water. Swirl the water gently to mix the ingredients.

  4. Add Olive Oil or Coconut Oil:

Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil to the foot soak. This helps moisturize and soften the skin on your feet.

  5. Soak Your Feet:

Place your feet in the foot soak and relax. Soak for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the ingredients to work their magic.

  6. Massage if You Would Like:

While soaking, you can massage your feet or use a foot scrub brush to exfoliate any dead skin.

  7. Rinse and Dry:

After the soak, rinse your feet with clean water and pat them dry with a towel.

  8. Moisturize:

Apply a moisturizer or foot cream to your feet for added hydration.
