A commonplace book is a type of journal or notebook which is used to write down your favorite passages from books, anecdotes, proverbs, lists, poems, recipes, lyrics, quotes, and phrases that you want to remember. According to The Atlantic, commonplace books became widely used in the early modern period and used like a scrapbook or an everything book. That is how I use mine. I write down everything I want to remember for future reference. However, there were others who used the commonplace book to collect wisdom and they thought that with the act of writing, they could absorb the wisdom.

For the list people I have my Brain Dump and my Thought Purge: A Book of Lists

This 5x8150 page book is for people who wish they were planner people but really aren't. There's no calendar in here because you won't use it. It's not dated because you won't write in it every day and don't want to throw it away after a year with blank pages left.

This is a book for people who need to write things down and like to make lists and check things off them. All the pages are the same and have places to write your to-do list, random thoughts, to call/email, to research/read, goals, and to buy (for groceries or random stuff on amazon).

Thought Purge: A Book of Lists

If you're the type who knows that those fancy calendars and dated journals are just not your jam, then you've found your soulmate in this book. We won't bore you with unused calendar pages or guilt-trip you into filling out daily entries destined for oblivion. Nope, this book is a different breed.

Consider it your trusty sidekick for jotting down life's essential details without the commitment drama. It's the ultimate wingman for folks who live by lists and take immense pleasure in checking off those little boxes.

Flip through its pages, and you'll find not one, but two different flavors of lists. The even-numbered pages are your playground for all things list-worthy: what to buy, what to research/read, space for random musings, and, of course, a VIP section for those "Aha!" moments that pop into your head at the most unexpected times.

But wait, there's more! The odd-numbered pages are like your personal command center for life's adventures – places to go, people to see (or at least plan to call, email, or text), tasks that need conquering, and those oh-so-important things you absolutely must remember (or else!).

So, if you're ready to embrace a journal that gets you – the non-committal, list-loving, and occasionally scatterbrained superhero that you are – then grab this book, and let the adventures in doodling, listing, and occasionally planning begin!

Thought Purge: A Book of Lists: Cozy Edition

Curl up with this delightful journal, designed especially for those who find solace in the art of making lists and relish the satisfaction of ticking off tasks.

It contains 4 pages of lists a week. On the first page, are appointments, the people you need to get in touch with, and your trusty to-do's – your week's roadmap, if you will.

On the second page you'll find a list for things you need to clean and organize, things you need to research, intertwined with the whimsy of random musings. Here, the mundane transforms into moments of cozy contemplation.

Turn the page and let your creativity bloom as you plan what to create and envision the comforting meals that will grace your table. There is space for lists of things to create, meals to make, and things to buy.

But what sets this journal apart is the fourth page, a haven of coziness in a busy world. Here, your to-do list transforms into a delightful collection of snug activities. Plan your coziest moments, curate your reading list for those snug evenings, and cherish sweet memories you want to hold close to your heart.

So, if your heart skips a beat at the thought of cozying up with your thoughts, dreams, and daily plans, this journal is your inviting companion on that heartwarming journey. Let's snuggle in and embrace the simple joy of lists and life's little comforts.
