Neroli

I've read a lot about neroli lately.  I've always wanted to try it but it's expensive, so I got some mixed with jojoba oil.  It smells quite lovely.  I can't wait to try it in a perfume and in the bath.  It is also called orange flower blossom and is distilled from the flowers of the tree.

I've wanted to try it because it is supposed to be calming and good for anxiety and also for skin care as it is supposed to be great for mature, dry and sensitive skin.    It is also recommended in treating acne as a result of its antibacterial properties. Neroli is anti-aging and hydrating.

It is antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, cicatrizant, sedative and tonic. (From the Aromatherapy Bible.)

Suggestions on how to use neroli:

1 - in your face oil

2 - in a carrier oil in the bath

3 - in an inhaler with other calming oils like ylang-ylang, lavender, geranium or citrus.

4 - in a diffuser when you go to sleep

5 - in your moisturizer
